How do I size for a new belt?
There are many was to skin a cat, but this is the way I do it. To measure for your new custom belt, start with your favorite belt, and measure from the fold where the buckle is attached, to the hole that you use the most. I will make this the center hole on your new belt. If you have a very unique or large buckle, that we aren't swapping to your new belt, send me the measurements so we can account for it.

How long does it take to get my custom project?
Lead times vary based on my books, and the depth of the project. Check the banner at the top of the page for the current lead times.

What about buckles?
Each belt comes with a plain brass or nickel buckle, or you can order your own buckle for me to install. I typically use snaps or Chicago screws to close the buckle end, so you can swap your buckle at home in the future. We can also use solid rivets for a permanent attachment (recommended for “hard working” belts).

Should I get a lined belt? Stitched or glued?
This is up to you and your preference. A lined belt is stiffer, thicker, and more sturdy, but it won't form to you as much as a thinner belt. We can do a glued liner, or a stitched liner. Again, this is your preference. A glued liner isn't as resilient to everyday wear, but it is a cleaner look on the face of the belt when there aren't lines of stitches. I guarentee my glued liners for 2 years, as long as you don’t go swimming in it. As for the liners, we have natural veg tan, or we can dye it a color, or use something like a bridle leather, or chap leather for a different look and feel. We can discuss the pros and cons of each option.

What can we build?
The short answer is - anything.
The long answer is - anything that the budget allows and I have time for. A lot of projects sound amazing but when it comes down to the time and materials required it will be far more work than the item is worth to you. If you have something in mind it is best to shoot me some photos or drawings of what you like, then I will give you a ballpark and we can go from there.
